Do you find yourself reaching for a cocktail or glass of wine after work?
Maybe you find that making a drink and having it on the couch is a nice way to switch from the hectic part of the day to the relaxing portion of the evening?
I couldn’t agree more, I think that making and having a relaxing drink is a fantastic way to wind down in the evening.
If you’ve been reading my blog for any amount of time, you know that I quit drinking alcohol (all of it) about 6 months ago. I swapped booze for mocktails and almost all areas of life have greatly improved.
Including, but not limited to:
- Sleep
- Mood (anxiety, patience, etc.)
- Weight
- Relationships
This isn’t an exhaustive list, but you get it! Things improve when you’re not dumping ethanol down your throat multiple times a week (even if just on the weekends).
What to drink if you're not drinking?
So, when you’re skipping the booze, what do you drink?
Like me, you might like to drink something sweet, or dry, or something with flavor and nuance.
This is where mocktails come in.
More specifically, functional mocktails.
All of my mocktails are made with some kind of functional element. This list contains mocktails that contain various teas, adaptogens, and even kava!
There is nothing difficult or hard to source in any of these mocktails, and I’m sure you’ll love them as much as I do!
Relaxing Tart Cherry Mocktail
This is truly the ultimate bedtime mocktail! It's relaxing (because it contains tart cherry juice and hibiscus tea), and it's delicious, nuanced, and truly, you won't miss the booze one bit.
