This non-alcoholic dirty Martini Mocktail is perfect for a Friday night when you’re craving a “stiff” drink! This will seriously do the trick, you won’t miss the alcohol at all!

Typically my mocktails are on the “better-for-you”, functional side. Like this Tart Cherry Mocktail or this Orange Passion Mocktail. But sometimes you want something…different…a little stiffer, but without the alcohol.
Let me tell you, this virgin martini mocktail will do the trick! *Finger snap* *chef’s kiss*.
Why you'll love this martini mocktails
- It has hand-stuffed blue cheese stuffed olives. Honestly, this makes the drink. I’d prefer it if you don’t skip this step because it adds so much flavor and really gives it that extra something special!
- It’s brine-y: olive juice is addictive! I like to use Mezzetta Pitted Castelvetrano Olives for this recipe, but you can use any pitted green olive that you love.
- Completely ethanol-free: This drink contains zero-alcohol, therefore anyone can enjoy it (but it’s definitely an adult drink, don’t try to give this to a kid, they’re going to spit it right out). Also, this drink doesn’t require zero-proof liquor or vodka, you can get everything you need to make it at your local grocery store.
Ingredients + substitutions
I bet you didn’t know you could make an alcohol-free dirty martini at home, did you? Don’t worry, this isn’t just an empty glass with a few olives on a stick…
The ingredients are relatively easy to find, you can get everything you need at your local high or low-end grocery store.
You'll need:
- Green olives - Mezzetta Pitted Castelvetrano Olives are my favorite for making this martini. The brine is delicious, and so are the olives. Even if you’re not an olive fan, I bet you’ll like these! Traditional martinis have Spanish Queen Olives, but we’re stuffing these with blue cheese. If you don’t want to stuff them and you want to keep things more traditional, you can definitely use Spanish Queen Olives or Manzanilla Olives.
- Blue cheese - or “bleu” cheese. Just grab a little blue cheese and stuff it right into the olives. Gorgonzola cheese also works!
- Tonic water - I chose tonic water because it’s a little more exciting to drink that sparkling water. Just be sure to chill it really well before making your mocktail. You can, of course, use sparkling water if you’d like! Light tonic water is also a fabulous choice.
- Olive brine - use olive brine right from the olive jar to make it dirty. Or don’t make it dirty and don’t use any olive brine, you can totally skip that step!
Equipment
- Cocktail shaker - I like to use a cocktail shaker to make mocktails, but a mason jar with a lid and a strainer will work just as well.
- Martini glass - or any glass that you like to drink from.
- Cocktail picks - these are fun to have. But, technically, you don’t need these, you can use toothpicks.
The process step-by-step
Now that we’ve gone over the ingredients, let’s talk about an important step: chilling your ingredients, even your glass.
Before you start assembling anything, rinse your glass with a little water and pop it into your freezer!
First, grab those olives and the blue cheese and stuff them one-by-one then thread them onto a cocktail pick (or a toothpick is totally fine, too). Then place them right into your freezer (along with the glass).
Like this:
Next, grab your cocktail shaker, and add a handful of ice. To the cocktail shaker add the tonic water and olive brine. Give it a good shake and strain it into your chilled glass.
Pop the olives into the glass. Done. Now enjoy!
Variations
- Classic or dirty martini mocktail - you have the option to make this martini classic or dirty. To make it classic just don’t add the olive brine to the tonic water. To make it dirty, add the olive brine. Start with a tablespoon and then if you like it more brine-y you can add a little more!
- Non-alcoholic lemon twist martini - don’t use any olives if you’d like to make a lemon twist martini, simply grab a lemon. Peel off a bit of the lemon rind for your twist, then shake the tonic water with 1 tbsp of fresh lemon juice. Pour into a chilled glass! That’s it, super simple 🙂
- Vesper martini mocktail - just add a dash or two of bitters to the original recipe as it’s written.

As a huge mocktail enthusiast, I suggest trying these (most of them taste like real cocktails)!
