With the holidays around the corner, we’re all looking for interesting, alcohol-free drinks to sip on.  This Dirty Vanilla Coke is exactly the drink you’re looking for!  It’s sweet, fizzy, creamy, and kind of tastes like an ice cream float, but of course, this is just much easier to make and drink through a straw.

I have to be honest, I got the idea for this drink while watching the new Hulu show “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.”   The show is addicting, much like this soda (but not like alcohol, thankfully).

While watching the girls go to fancy soda shops and order their massive sodas with fancy syrups and creams, I thought, wow, I think I just found my next alcohol-free drink that I’ll be making for the blog!

The more I get into making alcohol-free drinks, I can’t imagine going back. Typically a lot of new visitors come to my site in January (for Dry January), and that is where my passion for AF drinks originally came from, but now I find that it’s a lifestyle.  AF drinks contain so many health benefits. Obviously, this Dirty Vanilla Coke isn’t one of them as it probably doesn’t contain a single health benefit.  But, it’s just delicious, but you won’t wake up feeling like absolute garbage.  And that’s a huge win in my book! Yay for no hangovers!

    Ingredients you'll need

Let’s talk about the ingredients.  You can keep this very, very simple or you can fancy it up to your liking.

I made this with a can of Vanilla Coke and a few splashes of heavy cream.

You can certainly swap the heavy cream for half and half.

You might also consider topping this drink with whipped cream, cinnamon, and a maraschino cherry.

    Substitutions

You can make substitutions, such as:

Diet Coke: you can use unflavored Diet Coke and add a pump or two of vanilla flavored syrup.

Half and half: you can swap the heavy cream for half and half.

    How to make it

The process is so simple. Anyone can do it, and it's quick. Zero fancy ingredients or syrups needed.

Mason jar with ice and a coke being poured over ice.

Simply fill a glass with ice.

Pour the soda over the ice.

Finally top with heavy cream. That's it!
