When you’re ditching the booze for a sober month, the most popular being Dry January, you want something that isn’t just fizzy juice. Or maybe that’s just me?
You want something that feels grown up, something slightly bitter, but still tasty! So, how do we make that happen? With tea and kombucha (which is just fermented tea)!
Tea adds depth, nuance, and flavor to your non-alcoholic cocktails and alcohol-free drinks.
Of course, there is often still juice, and fizz, because we want our drinks to have a tasty and grown-up feeling.
That's where my mocktails come in, they're complex, refreshing, and delicious. Most importantly, functional (they all have a tea base).
Without further ado, let’s get to the list!
Blood Orange Hibiscus Mocktail

This mocktail features, as you might have guessed, hibiscus tea and freshly squeezed blood orange juice. I’m making this drink first on the list because it’s fabulous (obviously), and blood oranges are available in October (and it’s finally October). You have to give this delicious, refreshing mocktail a try!
Relaxing Tart Cherry Juice Mocktail

This is one of the most popular recipes on my blog, and for good reason. It’s tasty, and it’s a fun spin on that “Sleepy Girl Mocktail” that went viral on TikTok.
If you make this one, I recommend R.W. Knudzen Tart Cherry Juice (it has the best flavor).
Red Wine Mocktail

This one requires just a little leg work, but it really has that look and flavor that red wine does, if that’s what you usually drink. It’s bitter, it’s gorgeous, and you can drink it at room temperature. Give this mocktail a try, and make a double batch and save some for another night?
Classic Margarita Mocktail

There’s nothing like a margarita on Taco night, and if you’re having taco night, might I recommend you make this Black Bean and Dorito Taco Salad? This mocktail tastes just like a margarita!
I understand that classic margaritas aren’t fizzy, but this one gets the flavor from kombucha, and it’s not *that* fizzy, so definitely give it a try! Oh, and you can feel free to make this with blood oranges instead of navel oranges for a more fall/winter feel.
Tart Cherry and Chamomile Mocktail

This is another relaxing evening mocktail featuring chamomile tea and tart cherry juice! The ultimate sleepy combo. Making it a perfect nightcap.
Rose Mocktail

This Rose Mocktail is super easy to make and it’s so delicious! It had a viral moment on Pinterest and got rave reviews! It’s light and refreshing, but nuanced in flavor. It’s great anytime of day or night as it’s totally caffeine-free!
