Trader Joe’s Chili Lime Seasoning blend is really the perfect seasoning for this Instant Pot Chicken! If you haven’t tried this spice, I suggest you run, don’t walk, go grab it! And if you don’t have a Trader Joe’s nearby, you can get it right here.

It’s no secret that I love my Instant Pot.  As a matter of fact, I have two, I have the 4 quart and the 6 quart.  I love to use my smaller one for rice, and the larger one for family-size dinners.  I use it to make soups, sides, and mains.

But most importantly, this staple recipe that we’re about to talk about.

What's in Instant Pot Trader Joe's Chile Lime Seasoned Chicken

Chicken (any type, as long as it’s boneless/skinless)
    Olive Oil
    Fresh Lime Juice
    Broth (Chicken or Vegetable)
Trader Joe’s Chile Lime Seasoning Blend

How do you make this recipe?

6 process shots in order to make this recipe.

For a full list of ingredients and instructions, please scroll down to the recipe card below.  But here’s a quick rundown of how the process will go:

First, you’ll toss the chicken with the olive oil, lime juice, and Trader Joe’s Chile Lime Seasoning Blend.

Next add the chicken to your Instant Pot with the broth. Turn it on and pressure cook.

Let the pressure manually release.  Drain the liquid. Shred the chicken.

    That’s it.  You’re done!

Is this recipe meal prep friendly?

Let’s talk about how to save this chicken and what to serve it with, shall we?

I love to save this chicken to use in recipes. I've used it to make chili, burrito bowls, dips, sandwiches, wraps, nachos, or for a simple dinner with rice and a veggie.

    Can you save this chicken?

After the chicken is cooked and shredded, you may store it in the fridge or in the freezer.

TO SAVE IN THE REFRIGERATOR: If you wish to save this chicken in the refrigerator, I recommend putting it in an airtight container or ziplock bag and saving it for about 3 days.

TO SAVE IN THE FREEZER: You can freeze this chicken for up to three months. The best way to do this is to save in bulk or separate into individual servings and freeze in ziplock bags or freezable containers.

    FAQ/Frequently Asked Questions

WHERE CAN I GET TRADER JOE’S CHILI LIME SEASONING BLEND ONLINE?
    Right here!

IS IT SPELLED CHILI OR CHILE?

Well if you’re in the US it’s spelled Chili and if you’re not it’s likely Chile.  On the Trader Joe’s spice itself it’s spelled “chile” but to make this post more search-engine friendly I tailored it a bit to the American spelling.

WHAT DO I DO IF I GET A BURN NOTICE ON THE INSTANT POT?

This shouldn’t happen with this recipe, it typically means there isn’t enough liquid or (more likely) the rubber ring isn’t secured.

If you get a burn notice, first, don’t panic, just power down the Instant Pot.  Then go through this checklist:

-Make sure the steam valve is secure

-Check the rubber ring on the inside and make sure it’s place on properly

-Add more liquid if that is what seems to be the problem

-Secure the lid, seal the valve, and restart
