Margaritas are simple--a Tequila base, some lime juice, a little sweetener, and some orange liquor.  On the rocks, always.  I don’t want a frozen margarita unless it’s all that’s available poolside or on the beach.  Who doesn’t want one? I love margaritas. But they’re...well, summery-y.

But tequila isn’t just a summer liquor, trust me on this one, it’s perfect for holiday cocktails.  Enter: The Christmas Margarita.

HOW DO YOU MAKE THE CHRISTMAS MARGARITA

First of all, let me just say, this really is THE CHRISTMAS MARGARITA!

It’s delicious, and sometimes I like to pair my food with my drink.  And this drink pairs well with Christmas cookies. And candy.

This drink is just so, so simple, anyone can make it, and they can do it with their eyes closed.

Toss: blanco tequila, vanilla ice cream, simple syrup, and a handful of ice into a blender.  Give it a whirl, and voila! There you have it.

Just be sure to top it with some cranberries, another scoop of ice cream, and some crushed peppermint and you’re all set.  Not only will it taste festive but it’ll look festive.

If you don't have a blender, I highly recommend getting a Vitamix. I've had mine for YEARS and it's been one of my most-used kitchen appliances.
