Easy. QUICK. Weeknight. Dinner. Say it louder! This incredibly easy, creamy, Lemon and Dill Boursin Salmon is an awesome must-try recipe.

Jump to:
I love salmon - it’s a Friday staple at my house and this recipe is always a hit.
As is pretty much anything with Boursin Cheese (like this Boursin Chicken) - but it goes especially well with salmon and if you haven't tried it yet, I suggest running to the kitchen to give it a try!
My favorite thing about this recipe? It only takes about 20 minutes from start to finish - it’s that quick! Serve it with some pasta or a veggie and there you go, dinner is done 🙂

Ingredients + substitutions
Salmon - I got mine at Trader Joe's (because I love TJ's) but any cut or style will technically work here. I like to use the BBQ cut filets because they look nice in the pan and they're easy to serve.
Salt & pepper - for seasoning your salmon filets. Just use it as needed, everyone has different preferences in this department.
Olive oil - for searing your salmon. Any neutral-tasting oil technically works here.
Butter - this will help build flavor in the sauce. You could swap it for a little olive oil if you'd prefer.
Garlic - garlic is great because it's always on hand, but minced shallots or sweet onions are a fantastic option as well. Just be sure to use no more than a tablespoon because there will be plenty of flavor in in the cheese sauce.
Chicken broth - this is a nice option to create the sauce and deglaze the pan. You could use a ¼ cup of white wine to deglaze the pan and then add in ½ cup of broth or even heavy cream if you want a super luscious sauce.
Boursin cheese - this is the star of the show! Boursin cheese is fantastic for creating creamy sauces. It's versatile, and full of herb-y flavor!
Lemon juice - for a touch of acidity and brightness.
Dill - fresh dill, I just feel like salmon and dill always go together but if you don’t have it you can skip it, you’ll get plenty of herbaceous flavor from the Boursin cheese.
Youtube video tutorial + how to make it
This recipe really couldn't be easier and it's unbelievably quick, too.
Essentially you're going to season and sear your salmon in a bit of olive oil.
Then, you're going to build the flavor in your sauce by melting down some butter and garlic for just a minute or two.
After that deglaze the pan with your broth and add in the Boursin cheese, some lemon juice, and then return that salmon to the pan.
Add in that freshly minced dill and garnish with some lemon wedges. Spoon the sauce over the salmon.
DONE! This entire process only takes about 20 minutes.
Best pan for making this dish
I talk extensively about this pan for good reason, the 3.5 qt Staub Braiser is a kitchen tool I simply cannot live without.
It gets used daily, often even multiple times a day. If I could only choose one pan to have for the rest of my life, it would be this one. It's easy to clean and it elevates your presentation, as you can see. 🙂

Serving suggestions
This salmon is delicious with mashed potatoes, rice, or lighter but elevated salad, like this Blackberry + Arugula Salad!
