Ingredients

  • 8-10 strawberries stems removed
  • 5-10 fresh mint leaves
  • 2 tbsps fresh lime juice roughly one large lime
  • 2 tbsps white sugar
  • 12 oz soda water or sprite

Instructions

  • Muddle the strawberries, mint leaves, lime juice, and sugar.
  • Fill 2 glasses with ice.
  • Strain and split the strawberry mixture between two glasses.
  • Top each glass with 6 oz soda water or sprite (split the can between the two cups).

Notes

Storage: You can muddle the strawberry, mint, lime, and sugar ahead of time, strain it, and store it in a mason jar for 24 hours before serving.
Just be sure to open a fresh soda water to pour on top. Because of the carbonation, it's best to open soda water fresh so that it doesn't go flat!

Pro Tips:  This recipe is certainly only meant to be a guide, feel free to adjust it to fit your taste preferences. Here are a few suggestions (see the blog post for more):
  • More flavor - add a dash or two of bitters to give this drink more of an "alcoholic" feel.
  • More Sweetness - replace the soda water with lemon-lime soda.
  • More kick -if you're feeling crazy, replace the soda water with a strawberry-flavored kombucha (like this one).
