sparkling wateror ginger ale/ginger beer, for bubbles
Instructions
Brew the tea by adding a kiwi tea bag to a pyrex measuring cup and pouring ¼ cup of boiling water over it. Set it aside and let it cool and steep for about 5 minutes.
Fill a glass with ice. Arrange some kiwi sliced in your cup for garnish, if you’d like. That step is optional and makes the drink look a little fancier.
Pour the tea over the ice and add the kiwi juice. To easily and quickly get some juice from a kiwi, just add a halved kiwi to a lemon juicer and squeeze it right into your cup.
Top with a few splashes of sparkling water. You don’t want to water the drink down too much, so just a few splashes. OR, if you prefer a sweeter drink, use ginger ale or ginger beer.
Notes
FOR THE KIWI TEA: I really like this brand: Republic of Tea’s Lemon Balm Kiwi tea is fantastic because it contains adaptogens and (as stated on their packaging) stress-relieving ingredients. If you can't find this brand or kiwi tea, you can swap it out for chamomile or any sleepy tea that you like.
