This Starbucks dupe is one that you have to try - the Iced Dubai Chocolate Matcha is delicious and not hard to make! Give it a try you’ll have zero regrets!
1tbspboiling waterpreferably from a tea kettle to make things easy
¾cupmilk of your choice
¼cupmilkfor frothing
1tspchocolate syrup
Instructions
In a medium saucepan, combine the peeled pistachios, brown sugar, and filtered water. Bring it to a simmer and stir until the sugar dissolves. Remove it from the heat and allow it to cool off a bit.
Now, you can simply drain the mixture and discard the pistachios and you’ll have a nice, traditional pistachio syrup. However, if you like a lot of pistachio flavor, you can make it into a thick butter by blending it in the blender. From there you can either remove the bumps by pushing it through a strainer or skip that step and just use the butter as it is.
Next mix the matcha with boiling water and whisk it until it’s smooth.
Fill a glass with ice, pour the matcha mixture over the ice.
Add the pistachio paste or an equal amount of syrup depending on your preference.
Add your milk of choice and give it a gentle stir.
Froth together your milk of choice and 1 tsp of chocolate syrup. Add it to the top of the drink.
Drizzle a bit of chocolate syrup on top for garnish if you wish.
