Copycat Dunkin' Chai Latte (Hot or Iced)

This Copycat Dunkin’ Chai Latte tastes just like the real thing – hot or iced! It only requires a handful of ingredients and we’re going to go over how to make it step-by-step, it’s pretty much foolproof!

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup brewed chai tea
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 star anise
  • 2 tsp brown sugar syrup *see notes
  • ¼ cup milk
  • whipped cream for topping
  • Garnish: cinnamon optional

Instructions

  • To your hot chai tea, add one cinnamon stick, and one star anise.
  • Then add the brown sugar syrup and milk. Give it a gentle stir.
  • Top with whipped cream and garnish with some cinnamon.

Notes

*You can make your own brown sugar syrup or use a store bought one.
MAKE AHEAD: You can make this ahead of time, simply brew your tea, add the brown sugar syrup, and then add the milk. Make sure it’s cool, then store it in a mason jar or airtight container for 1-3 days. When you’re ready to serve it, either heat it up, or pour it over ice, add the whipped cream, top with cinnamon, and serve.
ICED VERSION
If you prefer to enjoy this drink iced, simply follow steps 1-2, then add a handful of ice. Continue to garnish with whipped cream and some cinnamon!
