Quick Salmon Marinade

This Quick Salmon Marinade for baking, grilling, smoking, or searing is super tasty and quick! This will be your new go-to marinade for an easy salmon dinner.

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup soy sauce *low sodium is the best choice
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • ½ tsp ginger freshly grated *see notes
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1.5 lb salmon

Instructions

  • In a small bowl for pyrex, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, lime juice, rice vinegar, ginger, oregano, and red pepper flakes.
  • Cut your salmon filet into 2-inch filets. Add them to a ziplock bag.
  • Then pour the marinade over the salmon. Sip the bag. Place it on the counter for 15-20 minutes.
  • Proceed to bake, sear, or grill your salmon filets!

Notes

  • To store:  you can store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.  
  • To reheat: reheat leftovers in a pan over low heat with a splash of water or broth until warmed through.  Or microwave on high for 2-3 minutes. 
  • To freeze: if you’d like to freeze your leftovers, wrap them tightly in foil then place in a freezer safe bag or container and freeze for up to three months.  When you’re ready to reheat, thaw in the fridge overnight the night before. 
*If you don't have fresh ginger, you can swap it for ground ginger.
