Equipment

  • Blender or Mason Jar

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp warm water
  • 1 ½ tsp matcha green tea powder
  • ¾ cup dairy-free milk unsweetened
  • 2 tbsp coconut cream the thick stuff at the top of the can of coconut milk
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or honey
  • 1 pinch cinnamon optional for topping

Instructions

  • In a blender, combine the water and matcha powder. Blend on high for 1 minute.
  • In a mug, combine the rest of the ingredients (except for the cinnamon), and microwave on high for 90 seconds-2 minutes.
  • Pour the matcha and water mixture from the blender into your mug, top with cinnamon, and enjoy immediatley.

Notes

IF YOU DON'T HAVE A BLENDER: If you don't have a blender, don't worry.  Simply place the water and matcha powder into a mason jar and shake it really hard for about thirty seconds.  It'll break up the matcha powder and it'll get very frothy essentially achieving the same things as the blender.
*I recommend serving this immediately.
