Easy, Dairy-Free Matcha Latte
Quick and easy recipe for a cafe-style, hot matcha latte at home!
Servings 1 person
- 4 tbsp warm water
- 1 1/2 tsp matcha green tea powder
- 3/4 cup dairy-free milk unsweetened
- 2 tbsp coconut cream the thick stuff at the top of the can of coconut milk
- 1 tbsp maple syrup or honey
- 1 pinch cinnamon optional for topping
In a blender, combine the water and matcha powder. Blend on high for 1 minute.
In a mug, combine the rest of the ingredients (except for the cinnamon), and microwave on high for 90 seconds-2 minutes.
Pour the matcha and water mixture from the blender into your mug, top with cinnamon, and enjoy immediatley.
IF YOU DON'T HAVE A BLENDER: If you don't have a blender, don't worry. Simply place the water and matcha powder into a mason jar and shake it really hard for about thirty seconds. It'll break up the matcha powder and it'll get very frothy essentially achieving the same things as the blender.
*I recommend serving this immediately.
