Quick Pickled Red Onion and Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 1 cup red cabbage thinly sliced
  • 1 red onion thinly sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • ½ cup white vinegar
  • 1 tbsp pure maple syrup or date sugar
  • 1 juicy lime juiced
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes optional - for heat
  • ½ tsp dried dill
  • ½ tsp oregano

Instructions

  • In a clean jar, add all of the ingredients and combine well.
  • Cover and store the jar in a warm, dark place for 2-4 hours then transfer to the refrigerator.
  • Serve on burgers, salads, and tacos. Enjoy!

* Store in the fridge in an airtight container for up to three weeks.
